James Proposed, Paige said YES!

James had been waiting for this past Friday all too patiently. Paige thought the proposal could be coming on Saturday given their family dinner plans, but there were a good number of accomplices masking the actual plans of the weekend. Under the guise of taking a portrait of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church Oak Lawn West team, both were portrait ready. Paige would be having her picture taken, but under entirely different circumstances. It was an intimate setting for James to get down on his knee, and seeing Paige respond to his proposal is evidence of their excitement to be married. I couldn’t think of a more joyful time to take portraits– and enjoyed seeing Paige’s wheels turn realizing what all had been planned to make the day more of a surprise.

Mr. & Mrs. William Webb, Part II

We talked about this moment for months. “It is now my privilege to introduce to you, for the first time, Mr. & Mrs.William Garrett Webb” announced to their friends and family. And here are the first few moments after their walk down the aisle. These are my favorite moments of the wedding day. Seriously– the JOY!

And then we got to the Crescent. And what a statement made in the entry– archways of cherry blossoms.

Bella Flora did a fantastic job with every detail from the bouquets, centerpieces and chandelier over the dance floor.

I don’t think William saw this coming! (Or maybe he did)

Father of the groom took the mic and commanded the stage.

There are too many photos worth sharing for one blog post. In two parts, today beginning with the preparations through the ceremony, I am excited to present a few of William & Brianne’s wedding images. Highland Park United Methodist Church held a gorgeous ceremony. Brianne got ready beforehand at the Crescent, and the courtyard at HPUMC had incredible sunlight for portraits before the ceremony. Tomorrow’s portraits of William and Brianne before the reception, and the reception shots themselves are definitely worth coming back for.

FINALLY! Brianne’s bridal portraits at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel can be shared after her & William’s exciting wedding weekend. Her dress was designed by Lian Carlo for the Bridal Salon at Stanley Korshak. Her Bridal Bouquet was created by Bella Flora. This first portrait was chosen for print to display framed at the reception. I am more excited for William to finally see these than anyone.

What a weekend. Until yesterday, I believe, Brianne had no idea where she and William would be spending the next two weeks. TWO WEEKS of post-wedded bliss honeymooning on the beach. Until later this week, (full posts coming Thursday and Friday) here are a few highlights from the now Mr. & Mrs. William Garrett Webb’s (the newlyWebbs) wedding. The ceremony was officiated at Highland Park United Methodist Church and their marriage celebrated with a reception at The Rosewood Crescent.

Adrienne & Lawrence | Preview

This past Saturday, Adrienne and Lawrence were married in Dallas at Cox Chapel in Highland Park United Methodist Church. Adrienne and I both grew up going to HPUMC, and seeing so many old friends made sharing the celebration of their wedding all the more joyful. Before the ceremony, while the girls were in the parlor, the guys hung out outside. It was sunny and seventy-something degrees. Junior with The Garden Gate did lush floral fit for spring, and the reception at the Belo Mansion that followed was a party that had guests of all ages dancing. Mini lint-rollers, tulle, wayfarers, suspenders, a German-chocolate grooms cake (coconut icing) and the dogs are the details I’ll remember from their wedding. And the invitation to continue the reception at the Fairmont after their exit of thrown rose petals.

Stephanie’s Bridals at the Joule

Stephanie and Ross’ wedding was an event perfectly curated to the bride and groom. Ross even had a different dinner jacket for the reception showing off his groom swagger. Before sharing all of their wedding images though, Stephanie was a stunning bride. Taken in the incredible Penthouse of the Joule hotel and on their terrace, Stephanie’s portraits were fun and easy going. Both her gown by Elizabeth Filmore from Warren Barrón Bridal, and her bouquet by Stems of Dallas were asymmetrical in detail. Stephanie even brought in a fun detail from her reception for a few of her portraits.

Mr. & Mrs. Ross Golman, Wedding Preview

To say that Ross and Stephanie were celebrated would be an understatement. The night ended at 2AM, and the Joule Hotel was a perfect venue for this this stylish pair. Stephanie got ready in the penthouse during the day, the ceremony was at sundown on the Joule’s terrace, and the ballroom was inflated (in multiple senses of the word) by the incredible work of the ladies with Stems of Dallas. Coordinated by DFW Events, the night was seamlessly and thoroughly enjoyed. I cannot wait to share the full post

Highland Park Village Magazine, Behind the Scenes

It’s no joke, and I’m only a fool (it’s April 1st y’all) for how excited I am to share this video. Jon & Kristin Link, with Jonathon Link Studios produced this impressive film detailing the “behind the scenes” of the wedding editorial spread that was released today in Highland Park Village’s spring magazine!

Can you believe that this project started nearly a year ago? It took about five months of planning and was photographed in October 2012. A HUGE THANKS to everyone involved, it’s so cool to see it come to life and hear feedback.

And here are a few fun behind the scenes photos from the shoot–

David and Maggie’s reaction to the champagne flutes was priceless. If you can’t tell by the hand-to-stem ratio– THEY’RE HUGE! That crystal from Madison by William Yeoward was one of my favorite details.

Here, Kelly Mitchell with Calame is exchanging the incredible jewelry. I couldn’t even count how many pieces she was interchanging on the girls.

Maggie is being attended by Kim Rozell for makeup above, and below is getting the European Cathedral Length veil from Warren Barrón added.

And here are the spoils of the day. When it was all said and done– there was CAKE from Celebrity Bakery to be cut, and delivered. Along with the flowers, it was a perfect way to say ‘Thank You’ to the store designers that collaborated with us.

Mr. & Mrs. Eric Denton, Preview

This past Saturday the thunder and crack of lightning woke me up in the middle of the night, and the sound of raindrops greeted me in the morning. I’d like to think the rain dance while making coffee that morning warded off the weather, but come that afternoon– it was perfect. It could not have been more ideal photographically with the light blanket of cloud cover. — and then — after the string quartet started playing, and the groom and his groomsmen entered, the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle and it was as though the maid of honor parted the clouds with her passing preparing Erica’s walk and the sun shone through.

All to say, her entrance was climactic. The soft light is a reflection of the calm afternoon– and Erica’s grace.

Here’s Eric before seeing Erica in their first look. The Dallas Arboretum was in full bloom and set an incredible tulip stage for him to turn and see Erica in her stunning Vera Wang gown.

The waterfalls were a soothing foundation of white noise beneath the symphony of strings that greeted the families and bridal party upon entering.

The reception decor was nothing short of refined. I loved the contrast of her black and white striped linens with the gold chargers.

Erica and Eric were swept away in this Rolls Royce and are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Napa, California. Their full blog write ups will be posted later this week on Thursday and Friday!
