This was my favorite moment of this past weekend’s wedding alongside Erika in Fayetteville, AR shooting Jaime and Sean’s wedding at Pratt Place: The First Look.
You can see the anticipation of this moment as the door opens.
They have no distraction from seeing each other, and as Jaime comes up behind Sean she rests her chin on his should before he turns around and takes in the sight of his beautiful bride!The amount of time you have together to create this memory of seeing your husband/bride to be for the first time on your wedding day makes the “first look” one of my favorite parts of the wedding day because it is sweet, intimate, undistracted time.
Sean, the vest fit y’alls wedding perfectly (Jaime, great job picking it out!). All of the details– the poppies in the bridesmaids bouquets, the hot chocolate and smores bars, and the Shakespearean prose centerpieces, showed your personality and told a story on their own.Have fun in New Zealand and Australia, y’all!

Have you seen these floating around Facebook lately? I’ve seen everything from occupations to towns posted on walls across the social network, and how they’re perceived. This was an appropriate favorite, along with youth ministers who actually … “herd cats”.  Happy Friday! I’m shooting alongside Erika again this weekend at Pratt Place in Fayetteville and can’t wait to post a quick preview of the wedding on Sunday!

Here are some of my favorite images from this past Saturday with Brett and Jess! Y’all, it was COLD! A blessing of the weather that the drop in temperatures brought with it was snow, and Jess stayed in Branson for an extra day! Her flight was rescheduled because of the weather… check out the white blanket on palm trees at the bottom of this post. Later on Saturday a group of us went to see ‘The Vow’. If you’ve seen the movie, read this article on the true story that it was based off of. Hollywood took away an incredible anchor of the story in that the two never separated even through the most difficult challenges. THAT’s marriage. I’m excited for May 5th to see these two begin their married life together. I have learned a lot watching Brett prepare for his marriage and pray through his engagement with Jess. Jess, come back and see us!
